Day to day
You will be working alongside our established award-winning Cabin Crew who will undoubtedly share your passion and integrity for delivering exceptional customer service.
We will support you to use your unique personality in order to deliver our shining service which will bring our brand to life; from welcoming our customers on-board to wishing them well as they disembark.
Safety takes priority with us here at Virgin Atlantic and with this in mind you will take a cool, calm and collected approach. You’ll go out of your way to ensure a smooth, safe and fun journey for all our customers.
What’s more, your resilience to deal with the demands of a long-haul lifestyle and instinctive feel for Virgin Atlantic’s service will make every flight something to write home about.
You will have a proven past of delivering irresistible customer service.
We are looking for people with the below requirements to meet the needs of this role:
18 years of age is the minimum requirement, we have no other age restrictions
Have an arm reach of 210cm (assessed at assessment stage without shoes)
Be able to brace with your feet flat on the floor whilst sitting in our jump seat which is 45cm off the floor (which we will also assess at assessment stage without shoes)
Have no live criminal convictions or cases pending, including drink-driving convictions
We require a minimum of three GCSE or equivalent level passes
Be fluent in both written and spoken English
Have the right to live and work in the UK
Be a confident swimmer; you will need to demonstrate that you can swim 25 metres unaided and tread water whilst putting on and manually inflating a life jacket – tested during training
Be committed to undertaking a rigorous, five week training programme.
There is a required five week intensive training course, taking daily exams requiring an 88% pass mark. These exams must be passed in order for you to continue with the course. This course will be intense, challenging but just as equally rewarding.
We would like you to complete some e-learning modules before you start your course – this will be a great foundation which will see you prepped and ready to begin the training.
Our elite training teams will give you all of the skills and knowledge required to successfully complete your role as Cabin Crew.
After graduating from your wings ceremony with your friends and family cheering you on, you’ll be ready to take your smile sky-high, putting all your fantastic training into practice. It really will be time to fly!

Salary: Basic salary of £14,178 pro rated; trip pay, plus on board commission
Contract: Fixed term contract
Hours: Full Time
Location: You will be required to fly from London Heathrow and London Gatwick
